Sir Kerram the komododragon knight starts translating the assassins' message, at the same time telling about his background and how he knows about this old Carandur, the language in which this message has been written. It turns out this old Carandur is the language of insectoids, but not the vile insectoids of Hordium that we are familiar with, but the insectoids of "Spice Islands" of Nusantara archipelago.
At the same time it's also revealed why Sir Kerram and Sir Angsa the swan knight greeted each other in Vedic way earlier. Ydia the chanting goshawk bard on the other hand wishes she would see Sir Angsa again soon.
