Was caught off-guard when his brother was eaten by/ate the slug king, and immediately expected to marry the queen, but he wasn't complaining.
Zhem III revels in the power vested in him as king, and would want nothing more than a legacy to be proud of. Unfortunately for him (fortunately for us), his son is a hot and rich hedonist in love with a knight, rather than a stoic soon-to-be-king.
Clearly, this cannot do for the king.
