There's so much I want to comment on that I can't because spoilers. Instead, I'll just ask if Arthur, if he was in the Pokemon Universe, might be, specifically, the version of Lance from the Pokemon Adventures Manga. Just to clarify, that's the one where the Elite Four are a group of Terrorists. And Team Rocket has more than a singular Gym Leader in their ranks, as Sabrina and a few others are members, as well.

Oh, Arthur would 100% own a whole flight of Drampas as his Mordred protect squad if he had pokemon. (Drampa specifically b/c they're apparently known to burn down the homes of those that bully kids they like)
