Ecco The Lightningcolt
Ecco The Lightningcolt
Ecco is a Fabricant of Hope in the form of a male, juvenile sky-blue lightningcolt, who first starred as one of six main protagonists in the "Ecco the Lightningcolt" series of books, and whose resemblance is based partly on the Lightningsteeds of Praedolene Mythology. When in disguise, he goes by "Indigo." As is in his name, he uses electricity to vanquish his enemies, but so too can he fly and contort into a ball to hide from the get-go. Though he appears to not have aged a day, his life has spanned nearly 80 years, having first been given life on Aomoda during the Fall of The Old World, and having borne witness to the scattering of the Juvanese from their homeland just before being taken into captivity.
Ecco is noble, driven and kind, uniquely adept at uplifting others with his optimism, yet he has the bad habit of trying to shoulder more responsibilities than he can truly bear alone, is overprotective of Kevin in particular, and being imprisoned and experimented on for decades has left him with some unprocessed emotional baggage that can taint his otherwise cheery disposition.
Freed thanks to a spurt of Kevin's psychic willpower and his own quick thinking, he now aims to not only find his creator and regain his lost powers, but to spark a rebellion against Easterlas -- All whilst trying to remain undetected by the regime's forces or his former captor, Colossus Belga -- "The Emperor".
If I had the power to bring folks back from the dead, Ecco's voice actor (or actress, funnily enough) would be Billie Lou Watt (Kimba The White Lion). Mona Marshall (Izzy from Digimon) would be an okay second.
