I don't really celebrate the New Year's Eve/New Year's Day, although, as a nominal Roman Catholic, I do observe the Gregorian calendar. But to me, it's just another daybreaking, just like my own birthday. I think an actual year change must come with a new event, so, for instance, the start and the ending of sports seasons feel more like new year's and year's ending to me.
But what do I know? No man is an island and if most people consider January the 1st to be holiday, I'm not the one to go against it. Here's a commemorative comic strip.
Happy New Year y'alls and I wish you the best for this new period.
Ferda Boys is a slice-of-life and sports webcomic about a group of junior hockey players.
Also, it has its own score, THEME FROM FERDA BOYS by David Tulloch: https://soundcloud.com/hockeywebcomics/theme-from-ferda-boys
